Melting Pot Moms began the summer of 2007 in Orange County, CA. Twelve families got together for our first Meet & Greet, and the chapter quickly grew to over 90 members.
Word spread, and the Melting Pot Moms family expanded to include chapters in Minnesota, New York, Massachusetts, and Texas. With no outside funding or marketing, Melting Pot Moms has been the grassroots effort of a network of dedicated mothers who are passionate about providing a rich and nuturing environment for our children and families.
Now, seven chapters later, Melting Pot Moms is in the process of establishing a national non-profit organization to benefit families everywhere. We are excited to expand our programs and bring them to our communities! To find out how you can support us, please click here.
Our MISSION is to:
- Educate ourselves and our children about different cultures
- Provide a social environment where our children can learn to appreciate their own ethnicity, as well as that of others
- Support our members in regards to issues of child-rearing and family enrichment
- Promote, support, and celebrate multiculturalism in our communities
Our organization provides a framework and foundation to support our diverse families!
Members come together in friendship to learn from one another, to support one another, and to grow together. Our diverse backgrounds allow us endless opportunities to broaden our horizons, and to help our children become "citizens of the world".
We also believe in giving to our communities by providing educational seminars and workshops, and by partnering with local organizations, clubs, and businesses that support our vision of multicultural/multiracial harmony and family enrichment.
