Me a white woman from Alabama and him a black man from Texas... It wasnt always smiling faces for us. But I told myself earily on "I will live to make myself happy, not others". The story goes.... We first met in "2000" on New Years threw mutual friends. As our friendship grew over time our realtionship did too. We welcomed our first daughter in "2006", married in "2008" and welcomed our second daughter just last year in "2011". I am very proud to say next month we will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary! We are very thankful for those brave people who stood up for love and equality so many years ago to make all this possible for us... I have to admit it hurts my heart that I still have family that havent spoke to me for 6+ years. Being racist is just ignorance... I will make it a point to educate my children, making sure they know they are: Gods children, beautiful, and part of different cultures but still equal to others.
