When and Where is the Celebration?
Join us on Tuesday, June 12th for Live on the Lawn, a free lunch-time concert series celebrating Loving Day, featuring Myra Flynn (www.myraflynn.com). Grab your picnic blanket and spend your lunch break enjoying the summer weather, good company, and some great local music while commemorating the 51st anniversary of Loving v. Virginia, the Supreme Court case that legalized interracial marriage in the U.S.!
Loving Day is a global network of celebrations with the mission of fighting racial prejudice through education and building multicultural community. Loving Day Vermont organizes annual gatherings that bring together interracial, multiracial, and multicultural couples, individuals and families from across the state, along with others who want to celebrate the right to love whoever we love. All are welcome to join us!
